Russianeeds a regulatory and legal basis to give boost to innovation driven activities. The problems that arise due to the «legal gaps» in this respect, together with some others, are on the agenda for discussion by the Participants of the «Demand for Innovations: Build-Up and Motivation» round table , which has been scheduled for September, 9, as part of the VI Baikal Economic Forum.

Stanislav Goncharenko, president of Eurasian transport innovative centre, invited as an expert to VI Baikal economic forum, says that it is necessary to create on Lake Baikal a Eurasia tourist and business centre, which could be equal in scope and influence to Davos, Singapore, Shanghai, the UAE and others. He considers Baikal as "world ecological capital", UNESCO officially authorized its uniqueness and it should be proved by high business activity.

It's necessary to make ecomanagement of the Baikal in such manner that come from prohibitive measures to permissive ones under strict government control. This is declared by Mikhail Slipenchuk, head of "Metropol" group of companies, Chairman of Board of Trustees of the Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal during the press-conference on commencing of third stage of international scientific expedition "Mirs on Baikal".

Sergey Naryshkin, the head of administration of the President of the Russian Federation shall be the moderator of the conference “Europe-Russia-ATR: development of transport infrastructure”. It will take place on September, 9th, 2010 in Irkutsk within the framework of VI Baikal Economic Forum. Igor Levitin, the minister of transport of Russia of and Vladimir Yakunin, president of RZHD are supposed to participate in it. Mr. U. Bango, the chairman of the Standing committee of all-China assembly of people’s representatives (supreme legislation body of the Peoples Republic of China) has confirmed his participation in BEF.

Three main topics will be considered at the round table dedicated to new approaches of the city environment modernization. It will be part of VI Baikal Economic Forum on September, 9, 2010. One of topics will be development of space and the system of settling apart, besides, it is planned to discuss issues of Russian cities development and modernization of the city environment. Such decision was taken at organizing committee for preparation of the round table; it recently took place in Moscow.
