Sergey Naryshkin shall be the moderator of International Conference “Europe-Russia-ATR: development of transport infrastructure”

Sergey Naryshkin, the head of administration of the President of the Russian Federation shall be the moderator of the conference “Europe-Russia-ATR: development of transport infrastructure”. It will take place on September, 9th, 2010 in Irkutsk within the framework of VI Baikal Economic Forum. Igor Levitin, the minister of transport of Russia of and Vladimir Yakunin, president of RZHD are supposed to participate in it. Mr. U. Bango, the chairman of the Standing committee of all-China assembly of people’s representatives (supreme legislation body of the Peoples Republic of China) has confirmed his participation in BEF.

It should be reminded that the main topics of the international conference “Europe-Russia-ATR: development of transport infrastructure” are projects on building and modernization of railway infrastructure in Eurasian transport corridors, building of multimodal logistic hubs and projects on development of aviation hubs and aircraft service across the polar regions.

Experts on these subjects have been defined. Among them are Stanislav Goncharenko – the president of Eurasian transport innovative center, Alexander Kolodka – deputy head of the Federation Council commission on natural monopolies, Leonid Krotov – the vice-president of Eurasian Transport Innovative Center, Andrey Homenko – rector of Irkutsk State Transport University and others.

INFORMATION:

VI Baikal International Economic Forum will take place in Irkutsk on September, 7-10, 2010. At the first plenary session (on September, 8th) "MODERNIZATION OF ECONOMY AND INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT" it is planned to discuss the following issues: forming of demand for innovations; investments into increasing of energy efficiency; financial institutions, accumulating resources for financing of innovations; commercialization of scientific research results; forming of infrastructure for innovative development. At plenary session "PROJECTS OF NEW DEVELOPMENT OF SIBERIA AND THE FAR EAST REGIONS AND FORMATION OF COMFORTABLE CITY ENVIRONMENT" there’ll be the following topics: perspective investment projects for industrial development of Siberia and the Far East; requirements to infrastructure quality in the conditions of new development, public-private partnership in infrastructure development; perfection of concession legislation; attraction and retaining of qualified manpower; new urbanism and new look of the Russian cities; development of low-rise housing construction; modernization of mono-cities.
