Igor Esipovsky: We are open to all banks and investments
Cooperation between Irkutsk Oblast and the Chinese state owned China Development Bank is possible in case certain agreements which take into account the interests of both parties are reached. So far no agreements between the Oblast and the bank have been concluded. However, according to Igor Esipovsky, if the Chinese bankers wish to collaborate all possibilities of cooperation will be discussed. “For example, we can announce an tender open to foreign investments for construction of a new airport,” said the head of the region.
There are a lot of projects in Irkutsk Oblast that require investments. “We are open to any banks and the options for participants are very wide. What we need are concrete offers,” said Igor Esipovsky. At the 5th Baikal Economic Forum 75 projects will be presented and among those a lot are seeking investors.
