At the VII BIEF, China Delegation Will Be the Most Numerous and Representative

The delegation of China to the VII Baikal International Economic Forum will be the most numerous and representative, more than 100 people. According to the Consul General of China to Irkutsk, Mrs. Guo Min, the Forum will be attended by members of the government of China and representatives of large business structures. In addition, deputies of the All-China People's Congress (NPC), the State Energy Agency officials, the staff of the National Committee for the Promotion of International Trade are expected to participate in the Forum.

"Since the very beginning, the Baikal Economic Forum has become a quality platform for dialogue between our countries,” said Mrs Guo Min, “The Forum organizers are paying much attention to the development of international multilateral cooperation in the field of economics. From our side, we always support the ideas that arise within the framework of the Forum. I am confident that we will achieve great success in the field of trade and investment relations at the upcoming Forum.”

Under the guidance of the Head of Energy Department of the Republic, Mr Zhang Guobao, the delegation that brings together representatives of major energy companies of China, will arrive to participate in the Forum.

Mrs Guo Min noted, that Russia and China are conducting  the fruitful work to strengthen relations in the field of investment development, as well as in cultural and educational programmes; recalling that the agreement to increase the trade turnover between Russia and China was reached at the meeting the heads of two states last June. By 2015, it should have become $100 billion, and to 2020 - more than 200 billion.
