Bolshoi Symphony Orchestra, Conducted by Vladimir Fedoseev, will Participate in the VI “Stars at Baikal” Festival

The VI Music festival “Stars at Baikal” will be traditionally held within the framework of the Baikal Economic Forum in Irkutsk on September 5-12. The Bolshoi Symphony orchestra, conducted by Vladimir Fedoseev, will participate in the festival at the invitation of Denis Matsuev, the Festival Art Director, the RF Honored Musician this year.

As Vera Kutisheva, the Minister of Culture of the Irkutsk Oblast, informed, the programme of the festival will be especially interesting and full of events as it is devoted to the 350th anniversary of Irkutsk. “There will be unknown musicians at the festival, - pointed Vera Kutisheva, -  To lighten stars of the world had become the festival tradition.”

The traditional auction “Nota DO” and the performance of the children symphonic orchestra will be held within the framework of the festival. According to the Minister’s words, only children will perform in the orchestra this year. 80 most gifted students of Music schools are in the orchestra. The rest at the Bratskoye More coast was organized for them to prepare for the festival.

The opening of the House of the Music of Denis Matsuev in the historic 130th Quarter in Irkutsk will be one of the key events of the Festival. Maestro will give the first performance in the House on September, 14.
