Dmitry Mezentsev Had a Meeting with Japanese Delegation

Dmitry Mezetsev, the Irkutsk Oblast Governor, met a delegation of Ishikawa Prefecture (Japan), headed by Mister Isao Nakamura, the Member of the Parliament of the prefecture, and invited the guests from Japan to the VII Baikal International Economic Forum. As the Region Administration Press Centre informs, the perspectives of economic and cultural cooperation, as well as delegations exchange were discussed at the meeting. In particular, the cooperation in the construction of motorways, beverages production and regular direct flights to Ishikawa Prefecture start up were discussed.

The guests from Japan had a guided tour to the Irkutsk Mineral Water Bottling Plant, Shelekhov and Angarsk, cemetery of Japanese war-prisoners, had a meeting with “Baikal-Japan” Society members. The Head of the region invited Japanese businesspersons to take part in the implementation of the project of creation of a special tourist-recreation zone.
