Timber Industry Representatives of Russia, Finland and China will Discuss Joint Projects at VII BEF

A trilateral meeting of business strictures of Russia, Finland and China that intend to participate in the realization of the joint project of the pulp and paper production in the Angara region will be held within the framework of the VII Baikal International Economic Forum.  Dmitry Mezentsev, the Irkutsk Oblast Governor, informed  Li Jianhua, the Directors Board Chairman of the “Huatai” corporation, China,  of the plan at the meeting  on July 15. We remind that the strategy of the Russia timber complex development will be one of the main topics of the BEF.

The participants of the meeting discussed the prospects of the joint enterprises creation in the Angara region, the possibility of the development of the existing industrial sites that are included in the programme of cooperation of regions of Siberia, Far East and the North-East of China. The production of paper, pulp and chemical-thermomechanical pulp  is planned to be organized at these sites.
