The VII BEF main topic will be realization of the Strategy of the Far East and Baikal region development
The VII Baikal International Economic Forum Draft Programme has been made up. The Forum will be held on September 12-14, 2011 in Irkutsk.
The Forum opening ceremony will take place on September12, as well as the Plenary Session “On the State policy of the development of Far East and Baikal Region.”
Viktor Basargin, the Minister of the Regional Development of the Russian Federation, will present the report “On the Strategy of Far East and Baikal Region Development.”
The exhibition of investment projects of Siberia, Far East and the SCO countries will be opened on the same day; souvenir awards to the BEF Business Partners and the reception on behalf of the Irkutsk Oblast Governor at Taltzy, Architecture-and-Ethnography Museum, are also scheduled for this day.
The BEF second day will traditionally focus on the Round Tables activity and the signing of a series of treaties and agreements. In addition, on September 13, the meeting of the Council for Development of Timber Industry Complex of Russia at the Russian Government led by Victor Maslyakov; and International Conference and reception hosted by the Federation Council of Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation will be held . The VII BEF results will be summarized on the third day. In the evening, the traditional for the BEF classical music festival "Stars at Baikal" will be held at the Music Theatre after N.M. Zagursky.
September,14 will be Day of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a series of business meetings with the SCO representatives will be organized in the frames of the day.
