The time schedule of the VI BEF adjusted

The time schedule of the VI Baikal International Economic Forum has been adjusted insignificantly as other significant Federal events are planned to be held. The BEF has scheduled to be held on September, 6 – 9, 2010 – a day earlier than it was scheduled before. This has been announced today by Dmitry Mezentsev, Governor of the Irkutsk region.

He has commented that the adjustment of the time has been agreed upon with Ms. Elvira Nabiullina, the Ministry for Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Mr. Victor Basargyn, the Ministry for Regional Development of the Russian Federation, Mr. Sergey Mironov, Chairperson of the Council of Federation, Mr. Sergey Naryshkin, Head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation.

The main BEF connected events are to take place in September, 7-9: plenary sessions are scheduled for September, 7, on the aspects «Regions of Russia: modernization and innovation development» and «Siberia – land of opportunities», that are to be attended by Federal Ministries, Heads of the biggest Russian companies, representatives of state power bodies  and business and other persons. On the same day, in Taltsy, a traditional reception for the Participants of the BEF is scheduled, on behalf of Sergey Mironov, the Chairman of the Forum Organization Committee. On September, 8, the BEF Round Tables and «Europa- Russia – APR: development of the transportation infrastructure » International Conference are scheduled to begin their activities. September, 9– the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Day.
